IPSAS 47 – Revenue provides comprehensive guidance on how public sector entities should recognise, measure, and disclose revenue arising from both exchange and non-exchange transactions. It replaces IPSAS 9 and IPSAS 23, offering a unified framework that ensures greater consistency and comparability across all types of revenue streams.

The standard aims to ensure that revenue is recognised in a manner that faithfully represents the transfer of goods, services, or rights, and reflects the entity’s performance in providing public services. It enhances transparency by aligning revenue recognition with the satisfaction of performance obligations and the inflow of economic benefits or service potential.

• Certificates will be issued on the date of successful completion of the assessment and will reflect that date.
• Course access is valid for 12 months, after which the course will close.
